Hi I've just got an Xperia 1 vi but I've noticed the battery usage monitor is not working is this due to the android 15 update? I updated all the patches before I set the phone up to use.
I seem to have found a solution after trawling the internet for a fix.
From an old post for a Samsung phone with similar issues on XDA, it was suggested to change the date manually to an older date then back to automatic.
Definitely a bug.
Not sure if Sony Devs monitor these forums but definitely something.maybe fix in the next patch?
I have tried the steps suggested except a full factory reset.
I'm going to wait for the next patch to be released in a hope that will fix it.
I'm reluctant to do a full factory reset.
I will try it as a last resort if the next patch fails to fix it.
@Junk87 Alternatively, you can perform a software repair: https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/mobile-phones-tablets-mobile-phones/xperia-1-vi-256gb/art...
Yeah I was aware of a software repair but this will also wipe my device and I have a very large amount of stuff I would need to backup first.
I will hold out for the next patch to be released and if that's no good I will do a repair or a full wipe.
Thanks for your input.
I found another user who was experiencing the same issue he suggested deleting the app data and cache for the settings apk.
This has helped somewhat but it is still showing strange recording behaviour.
@Junk87 Software repair allows you to back up your data, delete everything, then restore the updated version of everything and getting rid of any bugs caught by the OS!
I performed a factory reset last Thursday.
I did a full clean (not using Google backup incase that was causing issues)
It is still not working correctly it is showing gaps in usage.
