Currently having problems with the UK customer service and repair centres regarding the ever expanding battery (it's already forced the back cover off) that is gradually escaping it's moorings.
Sony want me to send it off to their repair centre to inspect it. However, Royal Mail do not accept damaged lithium batteries to be sent via their services. Trying to explain this to anyone at Sony is like banging head against the proverbial brick wall and they insist this is the only way of fixing it. I currently have 9 days left on the warranty and it seems as though Sony are just running the clock down in order to wash their hands of the whole matter.
Had anyone else experienced anything similar?
