Sony RDR-hxd890 Signal help

Hello , i recently bought this dvd recorder but can not pick up any channels and have 0% signal strenth , can anyone please help with this do i have to have firmware or do something else in the settings ? If so how do i sort this out ?

Hi there

If you have 0% signal strength, you will not be able to pick up any channels.

A couple of things to check out is -

Check that you have connected all cables correctly (in your case, the aerial cable)
Check that the condition of the aerial cable is good (may be replace it with another one, at least for a test)
Connect another device to the aerial (ie a TV) to see if you are getting any signal at all. (If not, you may need to have a look at the aerial itself)
