Is my BDV-N590 able to work with a AV/Receiver?

Hi all Members, At present I have a Home Theatre System BDV-N590 operating a 5.1 speaker system, I would like to purchase a Sony AV / Receiver to accomodate my other Sony equipment & I was wondering if my BDV-N590 would be able to work with a AV/Receiver, via an ARC (HDMI) cable ?.

(No 2) Thinking I was, what product (AV / Receiver) I should purchase , a 5.1 or 7.1 system, the only thing I was

concern about, would it be possible to purchase 2 extra speakers, similar to BDV-N590 speakers, & connect speakers directly from the AV / Receiver.

Awaiting to hear any comments or remarks.
