Sony BDP S490 - no time search :-(

I bought a sony BDP S490 last Friday.

Unboxing the player gave a good surprise, small player, very quiet, easy to use and setup.

However, my huge disappointment came when I saw there was no 'time search' feature.

Impossible to enter a specific time manually in order to jump to it. This is something I used extensively on my previous player (a Philips).

Unfortunately, the shop didn't accept to give me a refund because I had opened the box.

Very very sad.

Jumping to a particular moment of a movie or a concert will be difficult.

Very strange that such a basic and useful feature is not made available.

I may only confirm (having bought a brand new BDP 5500, that the feature is not present any more (I have an old HDD/DVD recorder HXD870 that is able to address both a specific point in time, a chapter or advance by 5,30sec, 1 min, 5 min...).

The only answer that i've seen is that you can fast forward to reach the time you are looking for...

My view is: it would be nice if Sony could make the feature available again with a firmware update.
