Connecting to the internet through Blu Ray Player

HELP ME!!

Right I can not connect to the internet via my new Blu Ray S370! I purposely bought a more expensive unit so I could access the internet through the tv to watch catch up TV as I dont have sky. But it is telling me 'cannot communicate with the DHCP server.'

I have rang BT who have told me the DHCP is enabled, having spent over an hour on the phone to them changing settings it still cant connect. I then rang Sony who told me they cant help me and its BT's fault!!

Im sending the Blur Ray player and the USB Lan adapter back if I cant get this sorted. Can anyone please help me?

Does it work if you connect it directly to your router/modem with an ethernet cable. The system is just plug and play so if its connected correctly, it should just work.

I think the cause of the problem is likely to be in how you have it setup rather than a problem at BT's end.

What model USB adaptor do you have as it will only work with the Sony dongle? I think the manual provides more details on this.
