Hi,

I've recently purchased a Sony BDP-S370 blu-ray player. I have some films and TV shows on my PC in shared folders and would like to play them using the blu-ray player, however I cant seem to find a way of accessing these shared folders from my blu-ray player.

Is there a way of doing so?

Thanks

Download a bit of free software called Serviio which will enable this.

Thanks

I managed to access 2 laptops and 1 PC in my wireless network (BDP-S370 connected by USB-dongle UWA-BR100). I defined 3 folders (photo, music and video) that can contain Windows' Media Player media libraries. All files in these folders can be seen if one allows to share these folders.

Problem is that a movie should have AVI-format; WMV f.i. is not being seen. Maybe the SW suggested by another replier can overcome this problem by not having to apply Windows Media Player?

Just installed Serviio(.org) and assigned same folders to its media library. Now the BDP-S370 has access also to WMV-files. So instead of Windows Media Player, now Serviio is the server. Works much better. Hope this is helpful for you.
