Rmt-d187p child lock problem

I went to take out a disk from my player after turning it on and it said "Tray Locked", I understand this is a child lock but it seems to have activated itself and I can't find my instructions.

So can anyone help?

Hi,

if you believe the remote to be at fault you could try the re set,

remove the batteries,

press each button twice,

re install with fresh batteries.

I don't think it can be the remote since there's no eject button on it.

Hi. Just give the callcentre a buzz - there is basically a standard code which unlocks the drive I think. They should be able to tell you over the phone.

Normally you can lock/unlock the tray and command by pressing the stop button on the deck till it says LOCKED/UNLOCKED
