Hiya please could someone help us we have updated our rdr hxd 890 dvd player and we now have an error message d---, also we have lost our guideplus guide, any help out there please

Hi Christine and Mike,

first of all be sure you updated to the last fw (1.24). Then you need to make an hard reset of the recorder via pressing together the stop and off button on the recorder itself (not the remote), unplug it from power, wait 1 minute, re-plug it and go through the setup procedure. You'll loose any setting made on the recorder and all the timer, while you'll keep all the HDD content without any problem.

Regarding the Guideplus, in the setting menu there is an option for switching from Digital EPG and Guideplus, probably it was reverted to Digital EPG. In any case be aware that Guideplus is not working anymore in any all-digital zone for this recorder: you have to live with the Freeview one

Thanks for the tip but it hasn't worked for me. Just stayed in "update" mode.

Does anyone else have any ideas?
