Hi all, I am a newbie so please be gentle with me. My brand new Sony BDVE 370 is connected to my Samsung LE40R8 TV through HDMI 1. I also have a BT vision system connect to HDMI 2, and a Sky digibox connected to scart ext 1.

I have 2 problems.

1. When I switch the tv on it does not switch the Sony system on, so I have to turn it on separately, but when I turn the tv off, it automatically turns the Sony off. I have set HDMI control to "On" in the sony system's settings.

2. When the sony system is set to "TV function" I get no sound output from the tv. When I change the function to "Audio" the tv sound outputs to the Sony system.

Can anyone help me with these problems please.
