HXD870 disc stuck can't eject

Hi All,

I have a sony hdd and dvd recorder HXDD870. Put in a dvd and screen changed to 'load' and i havent since been able to eject yet alone play the disc. Well and truly stuck in there. The hdd function still works fine. The I/O button works fine. Have tried unplugging etc but no luck.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Have a try with the forced ejection procedure. Be sure you know what you are doing since you risk your safety apart from the recorder. If you don't feel confident, call an authorized service.
