Unable to get 4k@60Hz on a Sony STR-DN840 AV amp

Hi Sony Forums,

I have a problem with my Sony STR-DN840 AV amp providing 4K@60Hz, looking at the AV amplifier spec from Sony it says with the latest firmware update (s9327.1108.0) should give me 4K@59.94/60Hz:

s9327.1108.0 Provides HDMI® 2.0 compatibility for the following 4K/60p signals:

• 3840x2160p @ 59.94/60Hz (YCbCr 4:2:0 / 8bit only)
• 3840x2160p @ 50Hz (YCbCr 4:2:0 / 8bit only)
• 4096x2160p @ 59.94/60Hz (YCbCr 4:2:0 / 8bit only)
• 4096x2160p @ 50Hz (YCbCr 4:2:0 / 8bit only)

The AV amp is connected to a Sony Bravia KD-43XG8196 4K smart TV via high quality HDMI cables but the best I can get with this setup is 4K@24Hz.

I have checked / replaced the cables and all the cables are 4k 18gbps ARC compliant, indeed if I by-pass the STR-DN840 using a female to female HDMI coupler my media player can display 4k@60Hz so I know the issue is with the STR-DN840.

Any help or advice would be most welcomed.
