Network connection failure of BDP S490

My Sony BDP S490 DVD/Blu Ray player can't connect to our Sky Hu router. It is a wired connection and the setup says "physical connection ok" but "internet connection failed". All the network settings were set to auto. It was working, then stopped.

Try to set manually a static IP and public DNS for your BDP (such as 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4)

I would contact Sony Support regarding this issue. Network issues can be troublesome and they will help determine whether this is an issue with the BDP S490 or a router issue.

checked the cable and it was fine, prob a glitch with the player. thanks
