Bluetooth Connection to Sound Bar

Hello

First message here so be gentle!! I have a Samsung Smart TV with a SONY HT-CT 290 soundbar connected. I often listen to music from my iPod through the soundbar by Bluetooth which is fine. I was given a pair of quite good wireless headphones for Christmas which I have connected to phone, my iPod and the TV. All good. My question (and it may be a stupid one) is can I connect the headphones to the Soundbar by Bluetooth and listen to the TV through them....and if so how?

Based on your description, set up for listening to your iPod via the soundbar.

Then simply switch the soundbar input to the signal from the TV.
