Dear All

How disapppinting - I was really excited as my dad bought me a "smart TV" for my birthday. The sales guy said its just like having your ipad on the TV. BUT IT ISN'T 😞 !!!! more like a stupid TV

How on earth do I download itvplayer, demand5, sky store, itunes, all 4.

At the moment since I still have my virgin media tivo the smart bit of the TV is completely redundant.

There's certainly nothing in the opera app store that I would want to use!!!

Doing a bit of research it does look as if the nowTV box may give me more apps

SONY I may take your TV back to the shop and get a refund.

Hi there

Unfortunately you have not mentioned which model TV you have. As you mentioned the Opera store, i would take it as a 2013/2014 model. Its no secret that ITV player and 4OD is not available and is unlikely to be added.

However, Demand 5 should be available, same as BBC iPlayer, YouTube, Netflix,, Amazon Prime and a whole host of other apps.

thing is - it obviously wasn't known to the guy at pc world who sold it to me today and not to me who is a total 'smart' tv novice

The UK model is KDL-32R403C - replacing the x with a number indicates the geographical region.

Here is where things get sticky, from my understanding, this model is not a smart tv.
