Sony Bravia 49X8505B Sky HD Blue screen when switching on

I recently purchased a Sony Bravia 49X8505B. I have it connected to a panasonic home theatre system on HDMI 1, an Amstrad Sky HD box on HDMI 2 and a PS4 and Xbox 360 on HDMI 3 and 4.

If I switch the Tv on from standby and the Sky box is already on, the tv will only show a blue screen on HDMI 2 (sky). The only way I can display Sky is to switch the sky box off and back on again.

Ive tried swapping HDMI cables and HDMI ports, but the problem seems to follow the box. The same doesn't seem to happen with the either sources.

Any ideas how to fix the problem?

Hi there

Try turning OFF "Control for HDMI" on the Sky Box and see if that resolves the problem.

Thanks for coming back to me Quinnicus and sorry for the slow reply.

Ive checked and I don't think my box has that setting. It's an Amstrad R010.070.91.00P version 4F3006.

Maybe be time to get a new box!
