KDL-42W829B MKV playback issue

My KDL 42W829B will playback some MKV video files and not others, my BDPS6200 can play ALL of them.

Can anyone help me out, ideally I want to be able to use the TV to watch these video files.

What is the MKV spec for the Bravia KDL 42W829B.

Any help is most appreciated!!!

You have to check both video and audio codec supported for each container type in order to avoid problems

Don't count on TV software to work right. Use the external player.

The single time I used the TV media player, to check the screen uniformity in the store, it didn't play the MKV I had on hand (h264, no sound).
