watching films from an external hard drive.

Hi there,

Does anyone know if it is possible to watch films from an external hard drive via usb connection on a sony kdl 37w tv? The film's are dvds which have bee could onto the hard drive from a pc.

Hi there

You have not provided the full model number of your TV. If you search your model number on the support site : http://www.sony.co.uk/support/en Look in the TV's manual for USB devices and it will tell you what codecs are supported on your TV. If you have litterally copied the DVD onto the external HDD it wont work.
