Auto Scene Select doesn't function as expected

Currently, I am manually selecting Game in Scene Select when playing games on the PS4 and Cinema when watching Blu-rays on the PS4 or using the Chromecast. Should these devices be passing their content type to the TV to auto select it, or is the TV ignoring the signal? Playing a game on the PS4 seems to result in the Standard mode being selected.

Model is an 50W815.

Hi there

When you are using the PS4, change the picture settings on the TV, and select Target Input = Current, then select the Picture Mode = Game.

Do the same with the other devices, as I believe this should work.

I am having the same issue with my kdl55 w829. It used to change to game mode for my ps4 but has now inexplicably stopped from doing so. Blurays have no affect either and do not change to cinema like supposed to. Instead I have to change it manually. Can anyone help?

Is your HDMI passing through an amplifier first? I think that is the reason for it not working on my set up, as the amp must stop the TV responding to the correct scene somehow.
