Hello.

I have a Sony KDL40EX403 and recently the remote stopped working. I took it to the local TV Shop and they said that water had gotten into the tv through the ariel point. They tried to clean it best they could but the problem still persisted. They later went to change the PCB board in the tv and now all the tv does is flash an amber and green light at the bottom left hand corner?

Any idea what these lights mean and how to get around it? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi there

Its sounding like a dead TV to be honest. Try performing a factory reset using the instructions below:

Turn on the TV.

Wait approximately 40 seconds for the TV to completely start up.

On the TV remote control, press and hold the UP ARROW button.

While holding the UP ARROW button, press and release the POWER button on the TV set.The TV may turn off and then back on.

Release the UP ARROW button.

If that doesnt work, you need to take it back to the repair shop.

Cheers
