Hi all, I just purchased a KDL50W829 a few days ago, the set up went fine and everything was working ok. I watched a few trailers on video unlimited to test it was working and decided to rent a film, but now I keep getting a content error message, I can't watch the film or any trailers. I refreshed internet content and reset to factory settings but it's still the same, Netflix, BBC iplayer and music unlimited all work fine, it's just video unlimited that's giving me problems.

The only thing I can think of is it's my wifi, I get full signal strength and everyting seems fine when I check the internet connection through the settings. Anyone have any ideas before I go out and buy an ethernet cable to try that?

Thanks

Hi there

Definately try the ethernet cable (they are pretty cheap on Amazon these days) - however, it is interesting that only Video Unlimited is giving you these problems. What speed is your net connection - As im wondering if that could be a cause?

Also, have a look at this page for another resolution:

Cheers

HI there

6Mbps should be enough, as the speed requirements for HD is 2.5 to 3.5Mbps. However you will need to be able to maintain a constant speed/bandwidth too.

http://en.support.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/192/~/video-unlimited%3A-connection-speed

Have you tried using SD content instead of HD ?

Cheers
