TV Sideview - cannot playback

Hi,

Can anyone help with setting up this app please?

I am trying to connect to a KDL-46HX823.

It is on the list of supported devices. The remote part of the app works fine, but when I use the program guide or watch now feature I just get " cannot playback".

I have deleted the app and reinstalled (ios ipad and iphone). Deleted all remote devices from the renderer set up in the tv. Tv is wired to the router.

Does anyone know if there are any specific settings in my router that might need changing.

I really like the look of the app, but it is so frustrating trying to get it working.

I have a similar problems with a 2011 KDL 24EX320. So had a look in Sideview Help / Restrictions:

Watch Now
As of February 2013. This function is only available on Android devices
Watch Now
This function can only be used when [Country] in [Regional Settings] is set to "United States."
Recording function restrictions
This function is only compatible with BRAVIA 2013 models that support recording onto external USB hard disk drives.

So basically all you get for a UK 2011 model is the remote control and program guide. What a pity.
