Lost applications (BBCiplayer, Netflix, LoveFilm, etc.) on KDL-w905 tv.

Hi all,

I am experiencing problems with my Sony 40KDL-40W905 tv, in that I have lost a number of applications such as NetFlix, LoveFilm, BBCiPlayer, etc. from the applications menu.

In fact, the number of applications that show up on the menu seems to vary randomly from as little as 10 basic applications to the whole range.

I have restored factory settings twice and this has not resolved the issue. Note that I only bought the tv circa 3 weeks ago (new).

The problem seemed to start either when I installed the recent software update PKG04.201EUA or when I subscribed to the sony entertainment network.

Can anyone please help with some advice or information as to how to restore full functionality of available applications for this tv?

Hi there

Is your ISP virginmedia by any chance? Try getting them to reset your internet connection from their end.
