Blu Ray not working :does it mean Win BD not supporting the BluRay

Well yesterday i got a blu ray to watch a movie...and since this was my first experience i was really very much excited about it ...but the excitement went wast when i insterted the blu Ray and Win BD starts and when i click Play.
It does not do any thing and Hangs.........(says not Responding.)
now i tried to see the Content of the Blu Ray and it shows 40GB in in its property.

well does Blu Ray not supported by Win BD .
i have a new Sony Vaio VGN FZ21Z.

what could be the reason?any idea or suggestion.

thats really a bad experience

I dont know what to do .. can i down load some Blu ray player which will run this BluRay.

Hi Shailendra and welcome.

Are you using the latest version of WinDVD BD?

To Check: -

1. Open the directory "C:\Program Files\InterVideo\DVDBD8\" .
2. Right-click the file "WinDVD.exe", choose "Properties", click "Details" tab.
3. The "File version" should state: 8.0.8.425.

If not, download 8.0.8.425 from here: -
