Sync Excel files on connection via USB

Good day one and all.

I want to sync an Excel file ( and others later on) that I edit on both my Win 7 PC and Xperia Z tablet ( recently updated to 5.0.2) when I plug in via USB ( wireles connection will not work despite several attempts) so that which ever is the newest version is put in place on the other.

I have tried search but nothing specific to my needs comes up. Is there a way of doing thig this or is it a manual thing?

I believe it's a manual thing unless you are using Google which I think has this ability but don't quote me on that

There are file sync apps that can do it, via usb or wifi. Here's a link to a review of one.
