Hi all,

I own a Sony Vaio A-Series VGN-A115Z laptop. Last week whilst working on my computer, it hung up so after a while i shut the computer down. When I tried to turn it on again it would not boot, instead it powered up for 2-3 seconds then turned off, and about 5 seconds later it turn on again and made sounds like it was booting up, but the screen was blank, then it went idle. I turned it off and left it till the morning. In the morning i tried to power it up and on the third attempt it powered up as normal and i was able to work on it for about an hour, then the same thing happened. I am not sure if this is an overheating problem, or power connection failure, or whether it may be a problem with the mother board or thr RAM.

Has anyone had a failure like this before? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Jay
