I was upgrading my sony Vaio S3XP to 2 gig of ram when unfortunately I damaged the connection between the keyboard and motherboard.<BR /><BR />I accidentally managed to break what appeared to be a plastic clamp holding the keyboard green connector lead to the motherboard. There is now nothing to hold the cable in place in the socket.<BR /><BR />Given the fact that it appears I've broken the socket mounting that is attached to the motherboard I'm assuming I might well need to replace the whole motherboard.<BR /><BR />Can anyone advise on a possible repair?
