its just a matter of moving stuff like music and videos into the D drive, they can take up a lot of space. if you do move music, change the directory information in the preferences in your music program so it can find your library.
if i have to move a folder i right click on it and there's an option 'move to folder...' and i select that.

I have a sony vaio laptop VGN-FS115B with 60GB HDD but i keep having to uninstall stuff to free up space to install new stuff, I can't believe this as i'm sure i don't have that much on here. I have noticed that there is a C/DISK and a D/DISK and that the C is nearly full and the D has around 30GB free space , so is it just a case of just moving stuff i don't use much from C to D, and how do i go about it, This probably a dumb question but i'm a bit of a novice.
Any advise is greatly received, cheers in advance.:smileyconfused:

Hi, i have a vgn-fs series with an 80 gb hard drive. my hard disk is into 2 partitions, around 40 each, but i found that the c: partition was nearly full, and this was when i only a couple of months after i bought it. I found inside the DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS folder on the c drive, there was a folder called TEMP,( to find it, you need to go to Folder options and be able to view hidden folders), and inside was about 25gb of files - temporary i guess. I deleted them and my laptop was fine after that. Does this solve your problem?
