USB Sound Card Help

Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone knew of any good 5.1 usb sound cards for my laptop, i looked on ebay a small one keeps popping up but i wanted some opinions first before getting one.

is it worth getting? the sound out of notebooks isn't brilliant, and i can't see it getting much better with a new sound-card- unless you use external speakers? i guess you do, otherwise why 5.1?

Depends what quality you want and how much you are prepared to pay.

The one on ebay I don't know about - I'm not sure you will notice a big improvement over plugging a set of amplified speakers into your earphone socket

THIS ONE is THX Certified and 24 bit and is PCMCIA connected. Supports 5:1 and 7:1.

THIS ONE is USB Connected and supports 24 bit, 5:1 and 7:1.

There is a cheaper version that does 5:1 only but I can't find it.

Thanks for the advice, i will deff be looking into those which you said, its for some 5.1 videologic speakers i got. Want them for movies i watch and some more spekers for music around my room
