topic VGN-A517S serious error message in PCs & Accessories

For the past three days the A517S has shut itself down several times. On rebooting I get the error message saying it has recovered from a serious error, should it let microsoft know. I finally followed the message to Microsfot and it said the reason for the shut down was unkown. I have removed the cute Dr Who USB box the kids got me for Christmas and have done a system restore to a time prior to Dr Who. It is still shutting itself down, once whilst on stand-by today. Any ideas?

Solution found, just in case it helps anyone else this is what I did:
Switched on the A517S and after the logo appeared I hit the f8 key and got the 'Windows Advance Option menu', I selected 'Last Known Good Configeration' and hit Enter. I then selected Microsoft Windows XP (as my OS) and then hit Enter.
