On rebooting I get the error message saying it has recovered from a serious error, should it let microsoft know. I finally followed the message to Microsfot and it said the reason for the shut down was unkown. I have removed the cute Dr Who USB box the kids got me for Christmas and have done a system restore to a time prior to Dr Who. It is still shutting itself down, once whilst on stand-by today.
