I'm told its probably of the large amounts of data I am transferring back and fore (music &amp; pictures). A local PC doctor replaced the drive and recovered a lot of the data for me and it sems fine now except I have no sound through the laptop speakers. I do have sound if I use external speakers. Someone told me I have to turn off the external amp (???) ....
