BIOS FOR VGN-A397XP

Hi

Does anyone have the original BIOS for the VGN-A397XP ? That is version R0060F2/RK060F2? I believe all the european VGN-A series have this version. I scrwed up mine and I can't get it from sony support sites

My notebook is Vgn-A617s but ı don't know how can ı help you?If you can explain a little bit more maybe ı can help you.

The only one I can find on Vaio-Link for download for the A-Series is R0080F1.

It may be worth a call to Vaio-Link.

Have you tried contacting Vaio-Link they may send you a copy of your BIOS..

I did try a bios reset and contacted vaio link but no succes now.
Could someone maybe save the bios including the EC bios to a file?

Hi

I contacted vaio link and finally I got some answers, I must say responses are coming very slow and troublesome, but strange thing: they want me to bring the notebook in for repair just to restore bios.
What I did, I " upgraded" my bios to the US version (which can be downloaded!!) but since then my fans are on all the time! I think the problem lies in the updated EC BIOS part.
So please can anyone help me with the original BIOS R0060F2/RK060F2?
Or should I bring in the notebook?
