After 1 week of test wotj vista rtm and vaio bx97xp i thin that there is an incompatibility with bios.

Afer some times the system block without any error... only stop works.

I find some error in event viewer with "access acpi...Upgrade bios"!!!

For sony this is "Windows Vista Premium Ready"

Any one can try vista with this notebook?

Shame Sony don't have more people like you helping them. But as they're so closed about everything they don't allow for beta testing.

Yes... but i buy this vaio for use with vista and sony certificate this notebook for vista premium ready!!!!
If you install any version of vista without do anything else, start windows and wait... the system halt!!!!

If you "hibernate" system after up yuo can see in event the error!!

I'dont know where is the problem for system halt, maybe driver ati, maybe system bios.... maybe!!! but i ask me if sony try vista on this notebook!!!

I dont understand why sony sell computer with windows vista ready and they dont give us driver... as it can be ready???

The vaio-link tell me that they dont support vista!!! I think they dont support sony vaio!!!

Do they have a trading standards body in Italy, because I would have a word with them to see what they can come up with.

Did you find any solution about the system halt on your vaio ?
I have exactly the same problem on my BX397XP with Vista.
