Restore

Hi there

Can anyone help? My daughter was bought a Vaio for christmas but I think she has done something to it which has now resulted in the unit not booting up.

I have spoken to a colleague at work who looked at it and he thinks that it requires restoring to the original settings. Problem is there are no Restore disks with it and i now don't know what to do. I have looked on the websiote and it gives you information on restoring the unit only applies if you have tjhe disk but it does not say what to do if you do not have it.

I have the VGN-N11S/W model

If anybody out there can help that would be great.

Hi Jackal,

Welcome to Club Vaio,

Your daughters Vaio does not come with restore disc's, instead it has a hidden recovery partition on the hard drive..

Start your Vaio press F10 repeatedly this normally starts the recovery process..

Once the your daughters Vaio is recovered follow this guide to create a set of recovery disc's..
