My SZ3VP runs between 45 and 55 degrees, and the CPU speed never drops from 2.2Ghz, no matter what power profile I'm using (Performance, Battery Life, or Adaptive), or if I'm plugged in or not. So does this mean that SpeedStep doesn't work on the SZ? On my trusty old A217M, the CPU would drop from 1.6Ghz down to 0.6Ghz unless that much power was required... this was great because the laptop ran a lot cooler (about 37 degrees, as opposed to about 46) and the fan was quieter too. Not so with the SZ?? Or is it just my one thats not working properly?? The Specs page says the CPU features SpeedStep.... hmm???
