I have a FS115Z barely 21 months old and will no longer power up. Tried all the recommended resets, battery connected/disconnected. Mains unit semms okay as it gives 18.5v under load conditions. Think this is a genuine fault and sounds expensive. Bit concerned about the bad reputation Sony seem to have on being interested in repairs.
Any advice would be welcome
Regards,
Anna Stewart (58)

Hi Peanuts890 and welcome to the forum.

The power up problem you describe can sometime be due to faulty memory modules. To confirm, or eliminate, this problem try removing all modules (assuming that you have more than one module fitted) and then insert one chip at a time, in all permutations.
