Recovery Disc

Hi, i just bought 2 DVD-R Sony discs and when i insert one of them into my drive to make a recovery disc it says that the disc is not blank....and it is??? is there something i have to do to make the disc work before i do the recovery utility please?

Try using DVD+R to create your Recovery disc set..?

I have found Verbatim or TDK work well..

i bought these discs specially to do this i never use DVD-R's and it says on the recovery wizard to put in a DVD-R or DVD+R.

How do i finalise a disc? maybe i have to do that with my DVD R

I have DVD RW discs can i finalise those instead? and can u tell me how please

Hi tman16,

The DVD+R will finalise itself. I know it is frustrating but we have seen that DVD+R seems more reliable. Make sure all other programs are closed.

I'm afraid you cannot use RW discs.
