It will cost about £150 for very very little gain.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Your original processor is the 2.0 GHz Intel Pentium M Processor 760 which uses the Intel 479 pin socket. The fastest processor that will fit into this socket is the 2.266 GHz Intel Pentium M Processor 780 which has the same 533 MT/s L2 Cache and the same 2040 KiB FSB Speed.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Although Intel's Core Processors also use a 479 pin socket (Socket M), it is a different pinout and Core processors will not fit in your Vaio.&lt;BR /&gt;Similarly Intel's Pentium 4 processors cannot be fitted as they use the 478 pin socket.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt; &lt;img class="lia-deferred-image lia-image-emoji" src="https://community.sony.ba/html/@8A5BDCECEE2E5AB683F2BDAA500F2036/images/smilies/035.png" alt=":slight_frown:" title=":slight_frown:" /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
