Vaio content Analyzer?

eveytime i turn my laptop on i sometimes get a little green clock on the system tray when i notice its the Vaio content analyzer and when i click on it it shows tasks its analysing

does anyone know what this is for? and what it does ?

as its using an awfull lot of processing power and slowing down my laptop

I was wondering about this too, 'coz same application is lurking on my new FZ31Z.
Hmmm.......I guess it means I've got to spend this evening reading manuals and help files 😉 ?

I couldnt find anything in any manuals or by searching google for this piece of software to what it actually does and meant for

Hi Squashme & martynrb,

I've been informed that the purpose of Vaio content analyser is to track and index audio and video files that are used in Vaio Movie Story and Vaio Music Box..

I believe right clicking on the icon in your system tray should bring up a settings box which will allow you hide the icon..
