ar41s upgrade

I have one dead laptop with a working nvidia 8800m gtx inside it, i was wondering if it would be possible/conceivable to replace te 8600m in my ar41s with it.

I'm not to bothered about warrantee or insurance as it's expired.

Hi yeldar2097,

unfortunately it’s not possible to upgrade the graphics chip on a Vaio laptop, this is because the graphics chip is soldered to the motherboard..

thanks for the info, as i was about to open it up and have a go. what about the CPU, same issue or not?
