VGN-FE21S Cleaning

My Vaio is starting to run pretty hot and I think it's time to clean the fan. Can anyone direct me to a manual or any instructions on how to get access to the fan for cleaning?

I did a research at Internet and I found 02 (two) guides...

I really liked the guides because you will find a comment like...

IF YOU DON'T HAVE SURE ABOUT WHAT YOU ARE DOING; DON'T DO IT...

Hi Thalamus. I have a copy of Speedfan. That tells me my HDD is running at 33C (little green tick) and my two CPU cores are running at 55C and 57C (bright red and yellow flame)

You don't think those temperatures are too bad? It was SpeedFan's flames that made me think it might be a problem, but I have since done a bit of reading and can see that its just a matter of configuring the program for my specific motherboard/setup. So when should I be worried? 60C? 70?

I once had a chat with a Dell technician and he said the single biggest problem for Dell notebooks was dust causing overheating leading to component failure. He said it was important to keep your notebook clean. I always thought that was the kind of good advice that was a little too hard to actually follow Maybe, armed with your guide, I'll have a little look inside and see how it looks after all.

I would say between 50 and 70°C would be ok depending on the tasks your are running, gaming would probably be higher..

I believe around 100°C is the maximum for dual core CPU's..
