Blurrred-Disoriented-Colors mixed up Screen

I was playing a game and the screen of my laptop suddenly changed colors and became really disoriented.

I think this is a hardware issue as I uninstalled and reinstalled the video card and the screen is disoriented even on the BIOS menu.

I only had this (very expensive) laptop for a year and half and its already expiring. shame on Sony ... big dissapointment.

Hi Thalamus,

Just got back from a computer diagnostic centre, they did check it and the screen on the external monitor was alright.
So there is nothing wrong with the screen or the video card but they have to change a part called "LCD Inverter" the part that regulates the power flow from the case laptop to the screen.
They will charge me $400. I checked the price of the part which costs around $10 so they are just trying to rip me off. Im gonna do it myself.
Any suggestions to identify the inverter model/type?
