PLEASE HELP ME!! Vaio VGN-FZ18M CRASH!!!!! please !!!!

Hi all - I am in a right state! - use my vaio for my business and has just crashed - as soon as I switch on - the screen is instantly filled with 'tic tac' lines all over it and I can't do anything. Sometimes it lets me in onlyto freeze moments later.

The underneath is VERY hot at the front left - burning in fact.

I NEED this to work for my business and am in panic mode

Can anyone shed any light/ recommend anythin?

( Just had my first baby and this is putting a right dampener on it - stress city!! )

Your problem may, possibly, be linked to a faulty nVidia graphics chip..

Sony released a statement some time ago that some Vaio models, VGN FZ18* included, can have distorted video, random characters or blank screen issues due to failure of the NVIDIA graphics chip.
