Battery stops charging at 10%

Hello,

I've been using my VP now for about 4 months quite regularly; I only at two or three times have left the battery run dry, because I've read that this is not good for lithium-cells, but put it on the docking station about 2 times a week.

Now, quite unexpectedly, the battery stops charging at about 10%; there is only the last edge of the battery symbol filled.

At first I believed I had made something wrong; not put it right on the station or something like that. But after charging it now 2 - 3 times I see, that, after putting the VP on the docking station, the battery charging symbol will come on, but after a short time the display will turn blank, and whatever I do, the charge stops there; I will not get the charge going again, before the battery is again dry, wich occurs after about 40 - 60 minutes playing.

I am not really able to believe this anymore!

First the flaw, that the device will discharge itself without playing any music at all, now this. Has anyone experienced the same? What ist the problem? Has the battery already to be replaced?
Or is ist a problem with the energy control of the VP?

I would be willing to replace the battery myself with a real QUALITY Lithium cell, but I don't know if I lose my guarantee, if I do this. And if it is a problem with the energy control, I'm in a mood to tell them to shove this piece of high-priced scrap up their *****.

This is no longer tolerable!
This would be tolerable for a 100¿ No-Name Aldi-Player made in Moldavia, but NOT for a 400¿ SONY DEVICE!!!!

Has anyone experienced the same, or experience, how sony handles repair calls?

That was it.

Yesterday it just died.

Does not even charge to 10% - just gives a noise, when put on the docking station, the screen turns white, turns blank, noise again, turns white, turns blank, that was it.

I yesterday contacted Sony Germany, but have not even received an acknowledgement, that somebody has read my mail.

You Sony guys hear this spinning noise?

Oh yeah,

After approx 2 years, I have lost approx 13% of the battery capacity.
