I've never seen an upgrade as trouble making as this in a program! (or maybe I'd seen before, for example winamp 3.xx was terrible! but we have 5.xx now which is unlike Sonicstage, has some features!)

that's very lame. I'm not going to reupload all my songs on every update. And, I cant backup all the music on my hd (not enough freespace), and reconverting all the cd take to much time. I wont do it. So if so at sony reads this, make something for that silly upgrade process !

Now I have to format my Pocket with almost 7000 songs on it plus albumcovers.

Thinking of purchasing a Ipod 60Gb Photo, although I am very pleased with the sound of the Vaio Pocket, but DAMN Sony, you are gonna loose costumers by this behaviour!

I thought it would be something similar to *.m3u but no.
Also there is a Compilation option and a preview of the art inside the VP (but still you have to add it before, in SS).

And that's it. i've been happy with MD for a lot of years, I like the sound of the atrac files but that's it.

no more sony products.

there are better solutions, but the ipod doesn't have one - you still have to format that every time you change pc etc. if you want it to synchronise its library on connection. i tried to gt some photos from my friend's laptop with my ipod nce and it started erasing everything at a time when i didn't have reliable access to a firewire equipped pc... i was not impressed!

Hurray, back to 2.3 and my Vaio is recognize ! I think that the trick is to unistall & delete all the openMG stuffs..

But I want the ability to play & transfert mp3 from vaio 😞

I WANT A WORKING 3.0 !!! 🙂

By the way, someone tried the 3.0 upgrade ? (not the 3.0 full install ?) Same initilization problem ?

1) you can transfer MP3 files with Vaio pocket music transfer program! go and update it and then transfer mp3s!

2) I want a real 3.0 !

3) I upgraded from 2.3 to 3.0 and it insisted on initilization again! thumbs up for SonicStage 3.0! I've never seen an upgrade as trouble making as this in a program! (or maybe I'd seen before, for example winamp 3.xx was terrible! but we have 5.xx now which is unlike Sonicstage, has some features!)
