Case For VP

If anyone here has seen the vaio pocket case from PDAir and is interesed, you may know it has bee out of stock for months now, i have received an E-Mail from the shop owner telling me it will be available in 1-2 weeks.

Just thought id put this in the forum for anyone who wants a case for their VP.
The case looks really good, and seems alot more useful than the sony slip case: it has (according to the web-stie 2 pockets for credit cards in it and is made from real leather.

It's fantastic! But I have a "VGF-AP1L" which is 40GB version, and the website says the case is for "VGF-AP1" wgich is the 20GB version.
I know there's a slight difference in dimensions and weight between 20GB and 40GB models, but can I buy it for my VGF-AP1L as well?

no, the 40gb version won't fit, it's too fat. i looked at a 20gb version in micro anvika when i was in there and there is quite a difference in thickness. i emailed PDAir about it and the guy said that they needed lots of emails from prospective customers to get a 40gb version made.

Are you sure a 40gig won't fit, i heard it is only 3mm bigger tht the 20gig, won't the leather case be able to stretch just a little bit?

Anyway if it can't fit then who is with me on e-mail-ing pdair for a 40gig version?

according to the sony.co.uk website the dimesnions are actually identical, but this isn't true, there is a notceable difference. i've already emailed them and they said the case does not fit the 40gb vaio, and someone a while back posted on here that they had bought one anyway for their 40gb pocket and it would not fit, it was just too wide.

Found another place where the slip case is being sold.... but there is no image for it. They sau it works with bouth versions (20gband 40 gb).
