I'm trying to do exactly the same thing with my W1 vaio. It has more inputs than you can shake a stick at...but all video and Svideo connections are input only.

I can't believe that Sony would put together a 'Viseo Audio Integrated system (as they call it) where there's no flaming video out!!

I have received one reply saying that you can get PCMCIA video cards. Don't know much about it. If I fix it I'll let you know and if you get any joy then give me a shout.
Best of luck

hi

I have recently purchased an RX-404 in the UK.

What I'm trying to do is connect a PC projector to the Vaio. The projector supports an S-video input, so I thought the best way would be to use the TV out on the RX-404. However - I am having problems enabling the TV out within display properties - nView will not allow me to select an alternative output other than the analog display.

Does anyone have any ideas? I have checked the vaio-link website and this doesn't help.

Thanks

Neil1664

I encountered the same problem with my RZ, here is how to fix it:

Go to Nvidia.com and download the latest drivers. Reboot and click on a 'detect displays' button. It's located somewhere in the Nview section. You will need to reboot again and then you can select, dual display and everything. Et voila!
