Click on the Boot.ini tab and make sure that /safeboot doesn’t have a check mark against it. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Also in the top box, on this tab, under [operating systems], you should see something like “multi(0)disk(0)partition(1)\windows=”Microsoft Windows xp” /fastdetect /……&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;hi, im a bit of a novice, so please keep answer simple.&lt;BR /&gt;when i turn on my pc, i keep starting in safe mode. looked up in manual done as instructed but it will not change. because of this i can not copy to disc or anything else.  Put new virus software on ( which says no virus present,) Also computer is slow. and doing s-t-r-a-n-g-e things. example wont turn of sometimes, thanks hope someone can help. Do you think i will need a new harddrive, thats what pc world are saying.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Well I've looked at both messages and I'm a little confused.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I would get AVG on your PC and do a FULL scan in safe mode&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If this doesn't solve it then we need to look into what message you got during boot, which does indicate the hard disk might be duff.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;But lets not jump to this conclusion, as you have a virus and this might be it's nasty way of operating&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
