DISK FORMATTING - REALLY URGENT

my D drive is messed up. it keeps on saying that i need to format it, however i have loadz of work on it and dont want to erase it and also my computer does not have a system restore point before january - when the problem started
. if i format my drive does any1 know how i can restore everything?...it says that i can enable compression....should i do that?
plz sum1 help me out...i have important work on that drive....thnx to evry1 who helpz out here, this reli meanz alot...

You will only be able to restore what you have backed up before your d drive became corrupt

it says that i can enable compression....should i do that?

A compressed drive would only make the data corruption worse, the compressed volume is nothing more than a super large file on your hard drive.

I have found this link for a recovery program R-Studio utilities recover files I have never used this type of program, use it at your own risk.
