    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi mikearther,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;All DVD drives have a limit to the number of times you can change the DVD Region Code.  This is nothing to do with Sony as it is by international convention.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I think this is going to be bad news for you - check which DVD drive you have in your W1G.  I susoect it is going to be a Matshita drive which does not work with any of the Region Free software hacks available.  Your drive is now locked into Region 2 forever.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The only answer is an external USB DVD drive which you can leave set to Region 1.  Luckily they are coming down in price - about £45 for a DVD-RW/DL &lt;A href="http://www.dabs.com/productview.aspx?Quicklinx=48QX&amp;amp;CategorySelectedId=11155&amp;amp;PageMode=1&amp;amp;NavigationKey=11155,4294959458,43050000" target="_blank"&gt;like this&lt;/A&gt; which will do any format including DL but I'm sure you will find a CD-ROM player much cheaper.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt; &lt;img class="lia-deferred-image lia-image-emoji" src="https://community.sony.ba/html/@8A5BDCECEE2E5AB683F2BDAA500F2036/images/smilies/035.png" alt=":slight_frown:" title=":slight_frown:" /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Help please, my Vaio PCV-W1G desk top has stopped playing US DVDs and has told me it is now set at EU only as had changed setting 10 times  .... is there a download or change I can make to the software to let my kids play US and EU DVD's ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
